Casabrava
Precision built using in-factory sub-assemblies, the structure's efficient building methods reduce waste, and result in stronger, truer, higher quality structures than achievable in the field. All systems such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical are high-efficiency and supplemented with passive solar. Careful design such as using well-placed openings to promote natural cross-ventilation, further reduces energy requirements. Other environmentally responsible building practices complement this approach, for example, high R-factor insulation made from recycled materials, rain-catchment systems and low VOC finishes.
Most intriguingly, the house is universally accessible. Roll-over thresholds, properly sized openings, and an elevator accommodation make this a home for all. Completely integrated, these items become part of the flexible living ambiance.
